Southeast Asia Best Sommelier Competition
The Alliance was established in 2010 and the first competition was held in the same year amongst six national associations – Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Taiwan. As all the national associations were newly established, the Southeast Asia Sommelier competition allows our candidates to be more exposed to competition, to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Today, the number national associations participating has increased to eight with the inclusion of The Philippines and Cambodia.
Taiwan was a new association and were invited to participate in the competition however, they are not eligible to winning the title of Champion of Southeast Asia Best Sommelier.
